Both Take Time

Both Take Time

As I read today's entry from That's life.  When you lose in life, what do you do? I thought about the loss I've experienced this year.  As I read Lindsay's words some of them made my heart ache...

"I lost someone who I was able to laugh with, cry with and to love."

"Losing someone you love is a feeling that cannot be explained or stated.  It just is."

I've been doing a lot better lately, but from time to time something is said, or I read certain words and a flood of emotions moves over me.  At first I expected it...now it often takes me by surprise.

Recently I spoke with a girlfriend who had a similar experience when her marriage ended.  It is has been about three years, and she said that the other day she was speaking to a friend and all of a sudden she started to cry.  She said she was surprised and a bit embarrassed.

As Lindsay wrote, "...a feeling that cannot be explained...it just is."

Death and divorce represent loss.  Both carry a myriad of emotions.  In death one tries not to forget and in divorce one tries not to remember.

Both take time...

Living with Grace...and i'm grace
