I have a serious question!?!

Who/what sets auto set clocks?

I’ve admitted in the past that I’m not always the brightest person in the room, but this one has me stumped!  I have four clocks that set themselves – AND THEY ALL SHOW DIFFERENT TIMES!  I’d like to know who I call or what website I go to so I can register a complaint.  Is it just me and the funny mojo that goes on in my house?!? 

I’ve tried unplugging them and letting them reset themselves – nothing changed.  Right now the clock on my nightstand is 3 hours ahead.  I have no idea what time zone that is – probably somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!  Every morning when I wake up, I have to do math before I’m even out of bed!  Ugh!  One time I forgot and leaped out of bed like it was on fire!  I thought I’d overslept.  I’ve set the button on my clock that allows for Daylight Savings Time.  I’ve done everything I know to do.  It is accurate – plus 3 hours!

My Bose radio/CD player is closer to the real time (whatever that is), but it is about 3 minutes different than my iPhone and my iPhone is about 6 minutes different than another little gizmo self setting clock that I have.  Oh, and I forgot, my car clock reads somewhere in between all of those times!  I have no idea if I’m on time, late or what! 

The other day I read an advertisement that offered an atomic clock for ordering their magazine – I actually wanted the magazine but didn’t order it because I didn’t want ANOTHER time registering in my house! 

I sometimes wonder if we have reached a point that we’ve out smarted ourselves.  When we can’t even set our own clocks, something just isn’t right! 

To ease my stress, I’ve decided that if I arrive at an appointment within 3 hours – early or late – I’m considering myself ON TIME!  Now I just have to get the rest of the world to join me!
